The former Ethiopian president Dr. Negaso Gidada has been detained this afternoon in a police station in Gulelie Subcity polis command district, Addis Ababa.

Dr. Negaso Gidada is the chair person of the Unity for Democracy and Justice Party (UDJ), one of the most important opposition political parties working under the narrowest political landscape in Ethiopia.

The party has been in a peaceful struggle campaign, “Millions of Voices for Freedom” since 3 months ago. On the coming Sunday, the campaign is expected to be completed with public demonstration. Now September 26,2013 Dr. Negaso after 5:00 hours jailed  released from police station with out any charge as he told us.
